Wedding Venue Back Up Plan

Image
So now that you have found your perfect wedding venue, you hope that everything runs as scheduled on your wedding day, but what if there's a snag in your plans, like bad weather?   Have a back-up plan. Ask your wedding coordinator or your venue to discus back up options for your wedding, in case of a last minute concern, For example, if it rains, where will your outdoor cocktail hour be moved? If it's very hot, will misters be available to cool guests during an outdoor ceremony? Is insurance recommended? Other times, couples buy the insurance to protect against problems like losing a job and not being able to pay for the wedding or having to book new services if a vendor cancels. Through companies like WedSure, you can buy wedding insurance for your own peace of mind or to satisfy a venue's insurance requirements.       Working with professionals is the best way t...

Finding the Perfect Wedding Venue

When considering a wedding venue, decide what's important to you and your spouse-to-be. Picking a venue is a personal choice, and usually based on a feeling when you first set foot on the property. You will just "know" when you have found the perfect wedding venue.   It's OK to ask your venue questions, even if the questions do not necessarily relate to the venue. Questions often arise when they are meeting with other vendors throughout their planning process. I always recommend that they email or call me. I am always here to support them along the way. What might seem like a challenging question to them, is probable something I can easily answer.      Make sure your venue and event staff is a match for your wedding. Select a venue in which you feel a connection with the space as well as the people that manage that venue. Take notice when touring, of how the employees interact with one another as well as with you. We are able to recommend to you, venues th...
