Family Roles on the Wedding Day

One important element that every potential wedding client should know, is that family and friends should be guests at the wedding, not vendors. When a client suggests that they want to save money by having family or friends do the work of a professional wedding vendor, on their wedding day, it is a Red Flag of warning.

Those, who insist on using such friends or family members as wedding day vendors, need to know that those people will have to assume the role of a true professional on the wedding day. That role would incorporate all professional behaviors to include no drinking, no smoking, no dancing with the guests.

Dressed like a professional, these helpers would need to be completely devoted to the task at hand, and remain professional throughout the entire event.

With the ever-changing economy still forcing couples to consider using family and/or friends to work as vendors on their wedding day, we see this scenario more often than we prefer.

With a responsible wedding coordinator taking the lead, meeting and reviewing tasks with all those responsible on the wedding day, and in addition to overseeing all the wedding day events, this scenario can be a workable option, although not a preferable one.
