Reno Aces Triple-A- All-Star Gala
We were fortunate to have been chosen to coordinate the Triple-A All-Star Gala for all the Triple-A baseball players throughout the country, as they came to Reno to celebrate, watch and participate in the All-Star game. We sincerely thank the Reno Aces owners and managers for the opportunity to coordinate their special event.
The players, accompanied by their spouses, friends, managers, coaches, and team owners, gathered at Rancharrah for the day and evening event, welcomed by the tunes of Stan Rocchi, a true Rat-Packer!
Our original design concept was a Retro Mod, Rat Pack theme, featuring David Hayes, world-renown Sammy Davis Jr. impersonator. With venue tents including the Corked Bat, where Larry Wilson, one of the most incredibly talented magicians in the country, worked the crowds, awing and amazing each and every guest. Jeff Hickman, a fabulous caricature artist, had a line constantly stretching out the door, with guests waiting to have their images drawn.
In the Catcher's Cabaret entertainment tent, the talent continued with an 8-piece band, The Mixx, and Brian Wilson with Reno DJ, as the emcee for the evening. A black and white checkered dance floor, and baseball lamp centerpieces filled the room, as guests and showgirls danced into the night. Celadon Decor provided the themed decorations and paintings, but the paintings that left everyone wanting for more, were done by Speed Painter, Douglas Rouse, whose 5-minute painting of Jackie Robinson brought down the house!
Levy Catering Company provided the delicious eats in each and every space, and it was certain that no one went away thirsty or hungry!
Turning the Rancharrah mansion into Sinatra's Nightclub, provided guests with an upscale, swanky space to gather and watch the Major All-Star game on a 16-foot screen. With live piano by Kathy Kerr, saxophonist David Lewis, and tray-passed appetizers and cocktails abounding, this space was a guest favorite.
Just outside the mansion, with Sammy's Dusesnberg as a backdrop, the Starview Terrace, allowed guests to intimately dine under the stars, gathering in smaller groups. Pic Box Photobooth company allowed guests to capture the event on film.
