Stacey and Jeremy's Valhalla Gatsby Wedding

The Valhalla Estate was built in the early 1900's as a private estate, and today, as one of the most beautiful and popular sites at Lake Tahoe, it provides brides and grooms with the most perfect place to be married. With it's Scandinavian charm, and floor-to-ceiling fireplace and hearth, one can easily see and feel the craftsmanship and detail that went into creating such a remarkable space.

The Valhalla Grand Hall seemed to take a step back into time, as Stacey and Jeremy's Gatsby wedding was the perfect design touch for this magnificent venue, situated right on the shores of Lake Tahoe.

With wedding invitations that featured a hand-painted design of the Valhalla Estate as it appeared at the turn of the Century, with beach-goers and early automobiles, this wedding was set to stand apart from the rest.

Stacey looked simply stunning in her couture bridal gown, as she walked down the aisle, on the arm of her loving father, towards a very handsome, Jeremy. A single pianist performed  timeless classics as Stacey and Jeremy joined hands and recited their vows.

A horse-drawn carriage, escorted Stacey and Jeremy away,  while guests gathered,
following their wedding ceremony.
A delicious and skillfully crafted Art-Deco wedding cake, featured hand made medallions
and a monogram initial cake topper.

Guests were served a delicious buffet dinner out on Valhalla's back lawn,
with beautiful Lake Tahoe in the background. Pewter linens were accented with Art-Deco china, Chivari chairs and ivory and burgundy flowers.
Petite cakes, individual eclairs and lemon curd pudding cups wowed all those
 guests wanting a sweet treat.
Jeremy's groom cake was designed as a suitcase with stickers showing all the places
he and Stacey have traveled together.
Stacey's Grandmother's rosary was carefully tucked into her bridal bouquet.

Some weddings are made to remember, not only because of the design concept, or the details that emerge, but because of the friendships formed while working with a couple and their families.  Such was Stacey and Jeremy's wedding, for me.
It was with great excitement, we enjoyed working with them, to help create the wedding day, of which they had always dreamed. Our best wishes to Stacey and Jeremy as they begin their happily-ever-after love story. xoxo Liane
