Dominique & Bradon's Wedding Day

Dominique and Brandon took a huge leap of faith, planning their Lake Tahoe outdoor wedding for October 25th. With it being so late in the year, all the area beaches were closed from the public, and the weather could hold to be somewhat unpredictable.

They chose Burnt Cedar Beach in Incline Village, Nevada, as their ceremony location, to be specific. Burnt Cedar Beach is Lake Tahoe's only peninsula, surrounded by a sandy beach on one side, and large rocks on the other. A long grassy space makes up the top of the peninsula, which provides the most perfect wedding ceremony space, as well as unmatchable views of The Lake.

As the wedding day approached, all eyes were on the ten-day, then the three-day weather forecast. There was a storm approaching the West Coast, but for Friday, it was to be beautiful weather, with forecasted temperatures in the 70's, and so it was full steam ahead for the outdoor ceremony. 






 
 

  We placed groupings of pumpkins, in every color and shape imaginable. Yes, this was an October wedding, after all, and pumpkins were the perfect fall wedding decor accessory.


As we placed the pumpkins, I was awe-struck of the magnificence of the day. Not a soul anywhere within sight, not a boat anywhere on the lake...yes, this was the most perfect of days at Lake Tahoe. The Lake was perfectly quite and calm, looking like glass, and it was a day made just for Dominique and Brandon. Yes, we all took a chance on the weather, (with a back-up plan, of course!), but it all worked out, and their wedding was one that will remain in my mind for a long time to come. As one of my assistants said.... "It so surreal, it's almost looks too perfect to be real!"
