Natalie & Kevin~Sneak Peek
Natalie and Kevin have chosen to be married at the Tahoe Tree Company in Tahoe City. Their love story and proposal is unique and told in Natalie's own words:
"Kevin and I met during my first class at UNR, in 2007. We spent the entire semester getting to know each other, but didn't start dating until 2008, once Kevin returned from studying abroad in Spain.
During out time at UNR, we went to may tailgates and UNR games, attended all of my sorority dances, hand in hand, and made college memories that we will cherish forever!
Since then, Kevin has been going to school at USC to become a Physician Assistant, and our love has endured 3 long years apart! We can't wait to finally become man and wife!"
Their Proposal Story:
Friday, June 21, 2013
"It was the most magical day that I could have imagined! Kevin and I were traveling through Europe last summer. One of our stops in the beginning of the trip was Montepulciano, Italy. We had spent that past 2 days riding our Vespa, eating delicious Italian food, drinking wine, and touring the countryside.
On our last day there, Kevin and I decided to stop at a small town named Pienza. We walked around the town and absolutely fell in love with it! We stopped for a cup of coffee before we had to leave. ( I had wine at 11am!) I remember reaching for Kevin's backpack to get out a piece of gum, and Kevin ripped the backpack out of my hands and said, "I'll get that for you!" which I though was odd, but quickly forgot about it. On our drive out Kevin wanted to stop and take a picture (He never wants to take pictures, and I never remember to take pictures...so this was exciting!) We hopped off our Vespa and before the picture Kevin started pouting out his heart to me which brought me to tears. The next thing I know he is down on one knee proposing and I said YES!!! We spent the rest of the day celebrating, calling each other "fiance", and making long distance calls to all of our family and friends. It was truly the perfect day!
Kevin says:
Against the advice of some respected confidants, I brought the ring to Europe with us. Let me tell you, carrying that expensive of hardware in the pickpocket capital of the world (Rome), had me frettin'. Worse than hiding the ring from the pickpockets, was hiding the ring from Nat. I swear she needed something out the backpack every 5 minutes, which I had to retrieve because that was the ring's hiding spot. When I was scheming this whole event, I had no idea when and where I was going to pop the question. I figured all the particulars would just materialize when the moment was right. After 2 days of exploring Tuscany on our Vespa, that exact scenario finally came to fruition.
Outside of Pienza, Italy, the most romantic and picturesque location presented itself. Fronting as another photo op, I began my personal spiel. Nat was clueless about my intentions until I got down on one knee. An immediate hysteria overtook her and the phrase "are you serious" was uttered a half dozen times. In the end, she said YES!!! After the waterworks subsided, the rest of the day was a blur. I just remember being on cloud nine, having celebratory 40 ouncers (yes, plural) on the train, and blue dress (inside joke ). The whole experience was exactly what I had imagined and Nat's reaction is something I will never forget!"
We chose to get married up in our favorite place in the world...Lake Tahoe! After searching for the perfect venue, we finally found the Tahoe Tree Company in Tahoe City. The Tahoe Tree Company has beautiful gardens, water features, and can accommodate our larger wedding ( We both have BIG families from Minnesota!). It will be the perfect place to celebrate out new life together.
It has been fun getting to know Natalie and Kevin, and we are super excited to be with them at the Tahoe Tree Company, when they exchange their wedding vows.
